At this point, you may be tempted to pop a few low thyroid diet pills or similar supplements to decrease your appetite, but this is overall less effective than simply learning what to eat and what not to eat. By and large, you can enjoy all your favorite foods as long as you cook them properly – overcoming food addictions and getting thin is less about not eating fatty foods and more about cooking foods in ways that minimize fat and emphasize nutrients. Frying anything is the absolute worst way you can eat it; try baking, grilling or even steaming it instead. If you absolutely MUST fry something, never use butter – olive oil is a healthier choice if you need the essential fatty acids it offers, while vegetable oil is the best weight loss-oriented option. Butter, meanwhile, is the worst of both worlds, with none of the nutrition and all of the fat!
